The Blue Man Group returns to Shinjuku for a month-long residency at THEATER MILANO-Za, the flagship theatre inside Tokyu Kabukicho Tower. From August 2 to 30, 2026, the company performs its signature wordless show that fuses rock music, visual art, comedy and percussion into a one-of-a-kind live experience.
Founded in 1987 in Boston, the Blue Man Group has grown into a global phenomenon with resident companies in New York, Las Vegas, Orlando, Berlin and beyond. The Shinjuku run is the company's first extended Tokyo residency in recent years and brings the latest evolution of the show to Japan. The blue-skinned performers say nothing — the entire narrative is carried through music, physical comedy, paint, drumming and audience participation.
THEATER MILANO-Za is one of Tokyo's newest and most technically advanced theatres, opened in 2023 inside the 48-storey Kabukicho Tower. Its 860-seat auditorium and immersive sound design make it an ideal home for the Blue Man Group's physically explosive performance style. Shows are scheduled across the run, typically in the evening with select matinees — check the official ticket site for the exact performance calendar.
