About This Event / イベントについて
Shinjuku Park Cinema Festival 2026 puts a screen in Funmore Time Plaza at Shinjuku Central Park from Wednesday 7 to Friday 9 October. Theme this year is music. Hosts are the Shinjuku Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Shinjuku Machi Fes committee. Entry is free. There are 200 seats. Kitchen cars open at 17:00. Live sets start at 18:00. Films start at 19:00. Light rain goes ahead. Severe weather cancels, posted by 16:00 on the bureau site and on the bureau''s X account.
Wednesday is Cinema Paradiso (1989, 124 min, Italian with Japanese subtitles) with Ensemble Schmal, a string quintet. Thursday is La La Land (2016, 128 min, English with Japanese subtitles) with Blue Herd A Bigband, 18 players. Friday is Sing Street (2015, 106 min, English with Japanese subtitles) with Tokyo Metropolitan Shinjuku High School''s light music club. Kitchen last orders are 21:15 on Wednesday and Thursday, 21:00 on Friday because the Irish film is shorter.
Cinema menus match the films. Wednesday, OGGI sells Hida-beef bolognese potato and a bolognese chili dog for Paradiso. Thursday, Rooaster Tom''s builds Chicken on a Stick, the joke restaurant name from La La Land. Friday, POMMES PROST does fish and chips with Guinness for Dublin. Other trucks include niwatori, Sun2Diner burgers, NUMB&HAZY craft beer, and KANPARIS galettes on Friday only. Tochomae Station A5 on the Oedo Line dumps you at the park. Shinjuku Station west exit is about 10 minutes on foot. No park parking. Which night to pick sits in the which-night guide.
