About Shinjuku Central Park

Shinjuku Central Park sits on the old Yodobashi water purification plant, opened as a metropolitan park in 1968 and later handed to Shinjuku-ku. Tocho-mae Station is under the park. TMG is across the street. Locals bring children to the inclusive playground and, in summer, the jabujabu pond (usually mid-July to early September, about 11:00–16:00; confirm on shinjukuchuo-park.jp). The waterfall called Shinjuku Niagara runs in the Fun More Time plaza. Flea markets and the park’s own summer festival use the lawns. There is no car park inside the park. Use nearby paid lots. Ward page: city.shinjuku.lg.jp. Park site: shinjukuchuo-park.jp. Pair a morning here with the free TMG decks.
