About This Event / イベントについて
Shinjuku Gyoen is one of Tokyo's top cherry blossom spots, with over 1,000 trees of more than 65 varieties. The park has early-blooming (February), mid-blooming (late March–early April), and late-blooming (April) varieties, so the season lasts longer than most places. The spacious lawns and the central pond make it perfect for hanami (cherry blossom viewing) picnics.
Hanazono Shrine also has cherry blossoms, and the shrine's traditional architecture creates a beautiful contrast with the pink flowers. The surrounding streets of Shinjuku are lined with cherry trees, and the area around the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building has a lovely cherry blossom promenade.
新宿御苑は東京有数の桜の名所で、65種以上1,000本以上の桜が咲きます。早咲き（2月）、中咲き（3月下旬〜4月上旬）、遅咲き（4月）の品種があり、他の場所より長く花が楽しめます。広い芝生と中央の池は花見ピクニックに最適です。
花園神社にも桜があり、伝統的な社殿とピンクの花のコントラストが美しい。新宿の周辺の通りも桜並木が続き、東京都庁周辺には美しい桜のプロムナードがあります。
