About This Event / イベントについて
The Ministry posted the 2026 window on 6 October. Sunday 1 November to Sunday 15 November in the Japanese garden. Seven beds. Hours 9:00 to 16:30. Last entry 16:00. Mondays stay open in this fortnight only. After the 15th the Monday lock returns. Adult ticket ¥500. Age 65 and high-school students ¥250. Junior high and younger free. A disability certificate plus one carer is free. The beds add nothing on top of that ticket.
A free commentary exhibit sits in the art gallery outside Shinjuku Gate from 27 October to 15 November. It is not a substitute for the beds. Walk the Japanese garden if you came for chrysanthemums.
GTF Green Challenge Day is Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November, 10:00 to 16:00, in the landscape garden and the formal garden, not in the Japanese garden. Stage, workshops, a market, food. The festival itself is free. You still pay the garden ticket. Rain goes ahead. Severe weather cancels. Official page: GTF 2026. Early opening on the 8th is on the Ministry calendar.
