About This Event / イベントについて
Shinjuku Machi Fes 2026 is the station-side half of the Greater Shinjuku Festival. Dates are Saturday 24 October to Sunday 8 November. Theme this year is POWER of SHINJUKU. Hosts are the Shinjuku Machi Fes executive committee and the Shinjuku Convention and Visitors Bureau. Co-hosts are the Greater Shinjuku Festival committee and Shinjuku City. Fan Street is free. Happy Collab is free to walk. The mystery rally is free. Bar Week sells tickets. Severe weather cancels Fan Street. Light rain is not promised.
The only day the east-exit street itself is closed to cars is 24 October, 9:00 to 17:00, from Shinjuku 3-chome crossing to Daiguard-higashi on Shinjuku-dori, plus Shinjuku More 4th Street. Booths and street sets run 11:00 to 15:00. Kitchen cars sit on More 4th Street. Shinjuku Station east exit is the door. Shinjuku-sanchome Station on Marunouchi, Fukutoshin and Shinjuku lines is closer to Isetan. How to pick Saturday versus the two-week indoor trail sits in the Saturday-or-two-weeks guide.
Park Cinema in Central Park, 7 to 9 October, is billed as a related event. Ra-1 at Okubo Park overlaps the same weeks and is a different ticket, a different lawn.
Fan Street booths, 24 October only
The bureau page lists these street booths. Hours are 11:00 to 15:00 unless a store writes otherwise. Stock runs out.
- JR Shinjuku. Shinjukuma at 11:15, 13:30, 14:30, about 30 minutes each. Station-master jackets for 90 to 150 cm. Sticker while supplies last.
- Lumine. Free stamp workshop on a mini bag, artist Hiroki Nishiyama. Then gone.
- Tokyu Kabukicho Tower. Kabukicho Street Live musicians. Names drop on the KSL X account.
- Shinjuku Takano. Melon pan with melon puree in the dough and cream, plus six-flavour bite chocolate.
- Nakamuraya Bonna. Shinjuku curry pan, piroshki, original cream pan, festival sets.
- Victoria Shinjuku. Jump and grip tests, outdoor shoe try-on.
- Victoria Golf. Putting challenge, prize if you hole it, while stock lasts.
- Alpen Elbreath × CHUMS. Bracelet workshop, 550 yen tax in.
- Rurubu Kitchen. Free five-minute hojicha roast with a Fuji tea farmer. Hojicha almonds 400 yen, Rincha tea bags 800 yen, 55 g leaf 1,300 yen.
- Fukoku Paper. Giant roll-winding, 300 yen. Postcard mailed to you in a year, 200 yen.
- Narita. Shinjuku-only Sanrio: badges, stickers, files 550 yen, acrylic key 1,100 yen, tote 4,290 yen.
- Tokyo Toy Museum. Wooden toys, free, red-apron staff from Yotsuya.
- Bic Camera. Portable power and emergency food samples.
- Some no Sato Ochiai, Futabaso. Harvest Shinjuku indigo leaves, dye cloth, make a walnut button, 700 yen.
- Isetan. Free ultrasuede bag charm from leftover cloth, Toray. Queue likely.
- Isetan × Sehiro Sanpo. Suit walk through Shinjuku. Isetan buyers in the core group.
- Yotsuya Police. Pipo-kun photos, white-bike sit, traffic-safety goods.
Street sets named on the city page: EPPAI and Masatomoja, MASH string orchestra, WAIWAI STEEL BAND, plus Shinjuku Awawa, Kenketsu-chan, and Yugejii. The bureau did not publish minute-by-minute start times in text. Watch the street, not a printed grid.
Happy Collab, 24 October to 8 November
- Odakyu Shinjuku, B2 bento, 24 October only, 10:00-20:30. Marked bento. First 200 get a bottle of tea. Nadaman momiji bento 1,890 yen. Seiyo Ginza wagyu and hamburg 1,296 yen. Ginza Tenichi tendon take 1,242 yen.
- Shinjuku Future Gallery VR. 24 October to 7 November, closed 25 October and 1 November. 10:00-19:30 last entry, about 15 minutes. Say you saw the Machi Fes site. First 300 get a sticky-note set. No under-7s.
- Keio Shinjuku MB, 29 October to 4 November. Asakusa Komatsutei hamburg set 1,350 yen becomes 1,080 yen if you say you saw the site, 20 people a day.
- Lumine Est, 24 October, 12:00-18:00, Hanaosan plaza. 20th-anniversary kitchen cars and workshops. Detail on the Est site from 1 October 11:00.
- Takashimaya. Halloween photo frame in the store. Free Halloween wrapping in B1 food and 9F kids.
- Nakamuraya Bonna, 10:30-19:30. Chicken and beef curry two-pack 2,200 yen, 200 sets. Shinjuku ginger ale 250 yen.
- Disney Flagship Tokyo. Festival Halloween stickers, 10:00-21:00, while they last.
- Shinjuku East Exit blood room, 9:00-18:00, apheresis until 16:30. Festival souvenir for donors.
- Shinjuku 3-chome Loft, Marui main 3F, 11:00-20:00. Takano, Nakamuraya, Menya Musashi, Oiwake Dango goods. Buy one collab item, show the Loft app, first 100 get tape.
- kino cinéma Shinjuku. Spend 500 yen at the shop, first 100 get a sticker. Film ticket not required.
Mystery rally
Ten questions around the station, 24 October to 8 November. Free. Phone required. Start ID is 2026 on takarush-game.jp. Seven or more correct: lottery, including Isetan-limited Congali Castella for five people. All ten: 109 Cinemas Premium Shinjuku tickets for two. Report at Shinjuku Tourist Information, 3-37-2 Shinjuku, 10:00-19:00. Kits also sit at Odakyu 1F front, Future Gallery, Lumine Est 8F THE PARK, Lumine 2 2F service counter, Kabukicho Tower 4F, Elbreath, Takano B2, Rurubu Kitchen, Marui main 5F, Marui Annex 6F. GPS for hunter points only near the report desk.
Bar Week tickets
Not free. Official table on shinjuku-bar.tokyo: BAR-HOP NIGHT 18 October 16:00-22:00, Shinjuku 3-chome, advance 1,000 yen, door 1,500 yen, charge waived, 700-yen drinks. Gyoen Autumn Bar 28-29 October 16:00-23:00, advance 3,500 yen, door 4,000 yen, six stubs. Golden Gai 1 November 15:00-22:00, charge waived, drinks from 500 yen, lottery after five bars. Oku-Shinjuku 10-11 November 17:00-22:00, advance 1,500 yen, door 2,000 yen, 500-yen menus. 10-11 November sits after the festival end date of 8 November. Treat it as a related night, not Fan Street.
