浅立（モーニングウッド）

Asadachi is a long-standing regional cuisine restaurant tucked into Omoide Yokocho, the narrow lane of postwar eateries near Shinjuku Station's west exit. The name translates as "morning wood," reflecting its reputation as a stamina-boosting dining spot. The menu is famously unconventional, offering daily-changing seafood alongside delicacies such as frog, loach and snapping turtle, as well as horse meat dishes and oyster hotpots. Each dish is prepared with the belief that it builds vitality, drawing adventurous diners from across Tokyo. The counter-only space is intimate and atmospheric. The restaurant is roughly 50 metres from Shinjuku Nishiguchi Station and a short walk from the main JR lines. Opening hours run from 13:00 to midnight, with last orders at 23:30, and it closes on alternate Mondays.
