HMV&BOOKS SPOT 新宿

HMV&BOOKS SPOT SHINJUKU is located on the basement first floor of LUMINE EST at 3-38-1 Shinjuku, directly connected to JR Shinjuku Station and a three-minute walk from the central ticket gates. The store opened in March 2019 as the first compact-format branch of the HMV&BOOKS brand, designed to fit within a transit-oriented shopping space while still offering a curated mix of media and books. The shop stocks new and trending books alongside CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays, covering Japanese and international music, film and literature. The curated selection is tighter than a full-size HMV&BOOKS outlet, but the format is well suited to browsing for a specific title or picking up a new release on the way through the station, and the store regularly hosts pop-up events and artist promotions. Weekday hours run from 11am to 9pm, with weekends and public holidays opening earlier at 10.30am, and the store has no regular closing day. Because it sits within LUMINE EST, it is accessible directly from the station without going above ground, making it a convenient stop even on rainy days or during a tight connection between trains.
