1953年創業のポートランド発パンケーキ店の日本店。ルミネエスト7階でドラマチックなダッチベイビーが名物。
The Original Pancake House Shinjuku is a branch of the storied American pancake chain that was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1953 and now operates 129 locations across the United States. The Shinjuku branch occupies the 7th floor of Lumine Est Shinjuku, bringing the brand's 70-year-old traditions to the heart of Tokyo alongside exclusive menu items unavailable at the American outlets. A one-minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station's central east exit makes it one of the most accessible brunch destinations in the area. The signature dish is the Dutch Baby, a dramatic oven-baked pancake that emerges puffed and golden, crisp on the outside and custardy within, served with fresh lemon and powdered sugar. The menu also features apple pancakes, omelettes, waffles and seasonal fruit-topped creations, with the Lumine Est branch offering several Japan-exclusive variations. The portions are generous by Japanese standards, and the kitchen adheres to the same traditional methods that have defined the brand since its inception. Opening hours are 11:00 am to 10:00 pm on weekdays and 10:30 am on weekends, with last orders at 9:30 pm on weekdays and 9:15 pm on weekends. The restaurant has 58 seats and is non-smoking throughout. Queue times can be significant on weekend mornings, so arriving before 11:00 am is advisable for a shorter wait.
