Chun Shui Tang LUMINE EST Shinjuku is the Tokyo branch of the Taiwanese tea house credited with inventing bubble tea, located on the B1F of LUMINE EST directly beside JR Shinjuku Station's east exit.
Chun Shui Tang LUMINE EST Shinjuku Shop is located on the basement first floor of LUMINE EST at 3-38-1 Shinjuku, positioned immediately outside the central ticket gate of JR Shinjuku Station's east exit. The shop is the Tokyo presence of the Taichung-based Chun Shui Tang, the establishment widely credited with creating the original bubble tea in the 1980s, and it brings that heritage directly into one of Tokyo's busiest commuter hubs. The menu centres on the signature tapioca milk tea, made with the shop's own black tea and chewy tapioca pearls prepared fresh throughout the day, alongside a range of fruit teas, milk teas and Taiwanese-style food items including beef noodle soup and lu rou fan. The quality of the tea leaves and the careful preparation distinguish it from the many bubble tea imitators that have sprung up across Tokyo in recent years.
Weekday hours run from 11am to 10pm, with weekends and public holidays opening earlier at 10.30am, and the shop accepts both dine-in and takeaway orders. A queue is common during afternoon and evening hours, so visiting mid-morning or late afternoon tends to offer the shortest wait for a table.

Hard to find, no seating, and it didn't taste good. A canned drink from the supermarket is better. The tapioca was hard.
