The menu also features standard izakaya fare such as yakitori, salad and sake, all served at reasonable prices in a convivial, standing-drinking atmosphere that typifies the yokocho experience.
Omoide Yokocho is a one-minute walk from the west exit of JR Shinjuku Station, and Hisago opens from 17:00 to 23:00. The counter fills quickly after work, so arriving before 18:00 offers the best chance of a seat, particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings.
