Halal-certified omakase in Shinjuku-Sanchome pairing Edomae-style sushi with seared A5 wagyu, popular with Muslim travellers.
Tokyo Omakase Sushi Wagyu is a small, reservation-led omakase restaurant a few minutes walk from Shinjuku-Sanchome Station, founded by a fifth-generation butcher with a family wagyu business stretching back to the 1960s. The room pairs Edomae-style nigiri with seared A5 wagyu courses, and the halal certification covers both the meat and the sushi side of the menu.\n\nThe counter is short, the chef explains each piece in English or Japanese, and the pacing of the courses gives the wagyu room to be the star. There is a separate halal course request at booking, which is the cleanest way to be sure the kitchen takes the right ingredients, utensils and prep area.\n\nFor Muslim travellers looking for a Shinjuku sushi and wagyu experience that does not require them to compromise, this omakase is one of the more dependable addresses. Book well in advance, especially for weekend slots.Based on 625 Google reviews
